 ニード・フォー・スピード最新作がエクストリームショーイベントに
エレクトロニック・アーツ（EA）は、9月23日からポートメッセ名古屋国際展示場で開催されるエクストリームショーイベント「X-5 in 名古屋 2006」に出展する。
EAは、このイベントに今冬発売予定のストリートレースゲーム「ニード・フォー・スピード カーボン」（PS2/PS3/Xbox 360/Wii/PSP/PC）をイメージしたブースを展開する。「ニード・フォー・スピード カーボン」（上写真）は、危険な山道でギリギリのテクニックを競う “峠レース” のコンセプトと、チームを組んで集団で走り、縄張りを広げて行く “チームバトル” の要素を取り入れたシリーズ最新作。
「X-5 in 名古屋 2006」のEAブースでは、この注目ゲームの世界観を表現したグラフィックを施したカスタムカーが展示されるほか、Xbox 360版の試遊台を用意されるという。ゲームのタイムアタック大会も開催し、上位入賞者には豪華賞品が贈られる計画だ。
